Established in 2008 by Directors with over 35 years experience in the security industry, AlarmControl24 provides a full range of alarm monitoring and CCTV monitoring services to domestic and commercial customers. We operate the only Long Range Radio Network in Ireland that is EN-50136 certified. Via our radio network we provide the most secure form of monitoring in the marketplace today.

Derek has been involved in the security industry since he founded Action Security Systems (then Action Alarms) in 1981 alongside Pat Maloney (see below). Derek has led the business from the very beginning and has grown the company and brand to the healthy position it holds today. Derek oversees the installation and design of all intruder alarm systems for our clients.
Pat has been involved in the security industry since he founded Action Security alongside Derek. Pat oversees all aspects of our Locksmith, CCTV and Access Control divisions. Pat specialises in overseeing security solutions to our clients that are cutting edge and tailored specifically to the clients needs and budget.
Aaron is responsible for our Finance and Operations departments. Aaron has over 10 years experience in both the Financial Services and Security Industry, holds an honours degree in Business Management and is a member of the Association of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA).
Paul is our Operations Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of our alarm receiving centre. Paul is well known in the security industry, with over 25 years experience specialising in the monitoring sector. He brings a vast wealth of experience with him having been employed in various managerial positions in monitoring centres such as Allied Alarms, ADT/Modern and Alarm Monitoring Services (AMS). Paul is the current Chairman of the Monitoring Division of the Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA).
Senior Radio Engineer
Martin has been responsible for the operation and configuration of our radio network since Day One. Martin has over 30 years experience in the roll out of radio networks throughout Ireland and has done so for companies such as Dublin Bus, ESB and Iarnrod Eireann. He is a key part of AlarmControl24 and ensures our network is robust, reliable and remains the fastest around.
David is responsible for the management and configuration of all of our IT systems and is very much our IT go-to-man. David oversees the systems we utilise for our Remotewatch Live CCTV offering, plays a key role in solving CCTV, network and system issues and ensures that all of our systems run smoothly 24/7.
Alarm Response Team
Our management team above are backed up by a team of skilled and dedicated operators who strive to continually improve the level of service we give to customers. All of our operators at AlarmControl24 have been hand-picked by Paul Manley and are trained specifically in the operation of our state of the art monitoring system.

AlarmControl24 is a “Data Processor” and a “Data Controller” which means that we are responsible for processing and controlling data on behalf of our customers. We are required – under data protection legislation – to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.
What information do we collect?
To effectively carry out security services to our customers it is necessary for us to collect and process certain information relating to our customers, its employees and/or agents. This information includes but is not limited to:
- CCTV images for security verification
- CCTV recordings for security verification
- Phone calls with our customers, their employees and/or agents
- Business and personal email addresses and contact numbers of our customers, their employees, and/or agents
How do we use your personal data?
We may use your personal data to:
- To comply with applicable law(s) (for example, to comply with a search warrant, subpoena or court order)
- As part of the carrying out of our contracted security services to our customers
If we need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Disclosing your personal data to others
We will not share your personal data with others, unless:
- we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal details to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our rules.
- our business enters a joint venture with – or is sold to or merged with – another business. We may then share your personal details with our new business partners or owners.
Where we store your personal data
We store all your personal details on our secure server, located in our offices at Sandyford Dublin 18, D18 N9P6.
How long do we retain personal data sent to us by our customers?
We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data – and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means – and the applicable legal requirements.
How secure is your data?
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
